List your Blog in the Directories

A web directory or link directory is a directory on the World Wide Web. It specializes in linking to other web sites and categorizing those links.

Something that peple are personally a little lax in is using blog directories to pull in more traffic to their blogs. It just isn’t a priority and it gets moved down the list for other things that seem more important. But it's wrong to do that. Blog directories are important. They can help your blog with link popularity and send you a lot more traffic.

You can blog and ping with the best of them, but you need to take more time to list in all blogs in blog directories as much as you can if you are not already doing so. With just blog and ping, you're done very well. However, that doesn’t mean you don’t need to improve and use all the tools at your disposal. You obviously can have a lot of room for improvement.

One way you can pick the best of them is join blog directories that are already well established, have page ranks that are higher than those of your own blogs, and that attract far more traffic than your blogs do. In addition, look to register your blogs in blog directories where the editors review and rank blogs. If you are looking for backlinks (who isn’t?) then look for blog directories that are :

1. Free
2. Offer one-way links
3. Have high Page ranks
4. Have high traffic rankings
5. Have editor reviewed submissions
