How to get results from your Solo Ads

As most of you know, I own quite a few sites and some of them are Text Ad exchanges and wanted to explain how to get results from your solo ads.

First of all, for everyone that don't know what a Text Ad Exchange is - it's a site that you are able to email the site owners list.  I personally don't understand why more people don't use this as I get really good results using solos. 

What happens is that you sign up at one of these sites and in exchange for viewing or reading someones solo - you earn credits and they can range from 10 - 900 credits.  Now don't let the numbers fool you  here - what I have seen from most sites the more credits you get usually means the more credits it takes to get a solo.  So be careful when joining a site.

Not only can you exchange these credits for other advertising - you can put your banners on the site, you can add text links, login page ads, you can add button ad (125x125 banner) and that is seen on the members main page - there are many ways also to earn credits.

For anyone that is on a limited budget, I feel this is a no-brainer for advertising.  This is how I started years ago as my budget was -0- at the time BUT I have gotten such good results that I have stuck with them.

Now I do have a few tips for you on here - one don't join a site and put in a fake email address and yes there are people that do this but on my sites you will be deleted if your email bounces.  I personally don't feel that it's right for you to think that others should read your add and you put in a fake email so you don't get anyone and I just don't tolerate that.

There is a difference in Text Ad Exchanges vs Safelist also - you email is NOT flooded with email everyday - you only get a manageable amount each day and that is usually 4 - 6 a day.

Because of the results that I have gotten, I am on quite a few of these sites and one of the BIGGEST mistakes that I see people make is making your solo too long.  You have to keep in mind that members are on many sites and say you are on five and that times six solos a day - well that is 30 of them to read to get your credits.

You need to have some respect for people's time and the best way to do that is to make your Solo - short and sweet and to the point - I have found that a single paragraph is more than enough and have tested this many times.  Now I know you are thinking that this seems like a waste of time and how is this going to get you results.

If you have a good headline, short and sweet intro - then to receive the credits they have to look at your URL that you submitted for an x amount of time.  This is the key - this is where you want to grab them and have them follow thru. 

One more point  that I would like to make - you have heard about ad swaps from the big guru and how they charge hundreds of dollars to send to their list - well if you join a site where you know the owner, know that he/she is serious about their business then this is a way to email their list and it NOT cost you hundreds of dollars. 

I don't know about you but I work very hard for my money and I have just seen too many stories in the forums about people getting ripped off from people offering to do an ad swap and supposedly have a big list and come to find out they did not - at least for me I can see how many people my solo is going to by the Text Ad Exchange that I have joined.
