Do the Math Escape the Wrath

I have to laugh sometimes when people ask me to join an opportunity that they claim pays well, or has an incredible pay plan, especially when i take a look and perform some simple maths to confirm or deny their claims.

Take one example i heard about recently this guy was touting how he made around $80 just referring people into his ptc opportunity and had added around 400 people to his downline through personal referrals, well if you do the math $80 divided by 400 it equates to 19 cents per referral he has made, to some that would seem reasonable but to me it states i have to work my butt off talking people into an opportunity that pays nickels and dimes while pocketing dollars for the owners.

say each referral took me 15 minutes to gain the signup  thats a total of 4 signups and hour and my hourly rate is just a mere 76 cents an hour, I can get paid more working in asian sweatshop and i don't have to risk my reputation or the anger of those i have conned into signing up when the opportunity is suddenly closed.

The moral here is to do the maths don't take anyones word on how much your going to get paid, look at the payplan and work it out for yourself, if the payplan is that complex you need to be a maths professor to decipher it and reach a conclusion then run don't walk run because the chances are it's complex in order to confuse you and hide the real truth that your unlikely to make anything like an income.
