My ecg   and blood test   --and saga of corruption in clinic of a BIG doctor----a story –bhupinder udhas

I AM ABOVE 63 ---  I HOPE TO LIVE LONG so I got an insurance from a leading company,the premium was Rs 1 lakh per annum and insurance cover was about 6 lakhs .I filled the form and was duly informed to go to clinic of a leading doctor and also go there without food for blood test ,ecg and urine test. The doctor is a leading heart surgeon –at one stage of life he was my neighbour studying in x class when I was student of B.Sc

Any way I visited the clinic all by foot as parking lot was at a good distance.blood sample urine sample was taken and I was asked to take an ECG TEST.the young pharmacist was a girl and she applied all types of lotions on my arms and legs and attached some knobs etc on my chest legs arms etc and kept the process for good twenty minutes

My bubbling energy all sapped and I got worried about my heart –after about half an hour she took out some graph and went away. I came out and sat down outside lab ,the expression on faces of the paramedical staff around me made me believe I had some problem.

I asked the technician about my ECG –she said she can not disclose information will be sent to insurance.  I reached home thinking about my long walks my swimming exercises and my jovial nature—I thought it is beginning of end

I was crest fallen---my fears came true when insurance company sent me a letter that my insurance can not be taken because of health problem—I really became sick and checked that all my savings are having nominees and my dear and near ones have a copy of my will duly registered

After two months another insurance company approached me giving insurance at premium of Rs 90000 per annum – GOOD COVER ALSO

I told him about my earlier medical report and refusal by earlier company and the story about that big lab of the famous doctor

YES THE MEDICAL WILL BE DONE AGAIN---but to my utmost surprise the technician was sent to my home he took samples of my blood—fasting condition –and urine and wow brought his ECG equipment/ I N barely seven minutes he conducted my ECG and congratulated me on having a good heart and gave me a copy of ECG graph,

I was jubilant and thought of evening celebrations with beer and friends

So friends you see the corruption by the insurance company and fear psychosis created by these fleecing medical labs
