It is amazing what happens when you ASK!

I would like to tell you a short story, a bit of a confession
so to speak. Perhaps it will give you a bit of information that you
can relate to.

I sold insurance for many many many years. I sold for Aflac.
At that time Aflac was not a household name with that duck as it is now.
And I only sold 2 products, Cancer and Intensive care coverage.
Not like NOW that they offer a whole menu of supplemental options.
Didn't have an office, but went door to door, Yup knocking on total
strangers doors. As I think of that now I can't believe I had the
courage to do that. But I did.

But it got to the point after so much rejection that it became harder
and harder to do. So I would leave the house night after night and go sit
in my car. I would return home a few hours later and would have to tell
my husband that no one was home, or I got a couple of "maybes".
Anything.... but not the truth.

I found that the hardest door to open was the door to let myself
OUT of my own car. I fessed up to a friend of mine who had started
at the same time. He seem to be able to do anything. So one night we
worked together and he showed me what he did... EASY!!

He simply opened the door to the car and walked up to the house and knocked.
They were either there or there were not. They either bought or they didn't.
It was nothing personal.

After a few times of working with Dennis,
I made my mind up that I could do this.
After all HHCTB?

Over the years Dennis and I worked together many times.
We made a great team.
Now this is going to sound awful but...
I did all of the work and he did all of the entertaining.
Meaning he did the warm up I did the actual product knowledge,
and together we closed them. We were a great Team.

I am telling this story hoping that some of you will see yourselves.
We all need a bit of help.
But It was ME  who asked for help and GOT IT.. and I was guided
into the right direction.
No one would have known what I needed had "I" NOT asked.
