Are You OVERWHELMED?
It's Monday the start of a new work week. Are you feeling OVERWHELMED? It really doesn't matter if you work at home or at the office, it is easy to feel like you are climbing up hill.
Being OVERWHELMED is one of the biggest causes of failure. People just throw up their hands and say forget it I will never get all this work finished. STOP! I am here to help.
The first thing you have to do is set up a Daily Method of Operation. (DMO for short) This can be done very easily. It will only take a few minutes for you to write down what you want to accomplish each day. Then, set up a time period you want to give to each activity. Let me show you what I mean by setting an example for an online marketer below:
Open & Answer Emails - 15 minutes
Send or Answer DM's - 10 minutes
Post On Social Networks - 30 minutes
Cash Creating Activities - 30 minutes
Article Writing - 30 minutes
Blog Posting - 30 minutes
Creating Advertising Credits - 60 minutes
Mentoring - 35 minutes
Remember, this is just an example of how you can set aside a certain amount of time for a certain activity. The above list is 4 hours of activity. If you seriously take the time to create a list and a time schedule, you will be on your way to tackling the feeling of being Overwhelmed. Plus, you will find you can eliminate activities which eat up time. This may be something you do without even realizing it.
This is what works best for me. I have put all my daily activities in my Favorites Column. I start at the top and work my way down until I am finished. This is less structured than the above example, but this is what works for me. Either way, it is a set schedule of activity which will keep you from straying to unproductive tasks.
Set your DMO and stick with it. I guarantee you will get a lot more accomplished and will end each day feeling more satisfied with your work.
