Approving Member Photos

All APSense members level 3 and above have the privilege of approving member photos but some of the photos that are being approved show that an explanation is needed on what gets approved and what doesn't.

I know I have declined photos which have immediately been uploaded again and approved by someone else.  All profile photos must be personal pictures of the member.  Okay that is almost impossible for any of us to determine unless we personally know them but there are some photos that are clearly NOT personal photos and are still being approved.  So lets list what should be declined.

1. Cartoons-I know cartoon characters are cute but I don't think Bugs Bunny or Marvin the Martian have APSense accounts.

2. Celebrities-If you are not familiar with a celebrity it may sneak by and have to be caught by someone else BUT if the photo is clearly a promotional poster from a film, that is not a member photo

3. Logos-Yes I know some sites do allow logos, APSense does not.  Pictures of products are not pictures of people.  In order to be a member you must be a person.

4. Children/pets-We all have cute kids and cute pets.  However your child is not you any more than your dog is you.

5. Inappropriate or Racy Photos-This is not a sex site.  It is not a dating site.  It is a business site.  No photos of partially dressed people or people with strategic covering of their naughty bits.

6. Photos that do not fit the profile name-if the member is named "John" I highly doubt he's a beautiful blonde female with an hourglass figure.

7. Sunsets and other scenery-Yes they can be beautiful spectacular and breath-taking, but once again they are not pictures of people.

8. Mascots-Your favorite team may be the Dallas cowboys but the Cowboys famous star logo etc is not you.

Do not approve any profile photo that falls into those categories
