Over the last quarter of a century, the number of dot com sites online have expanded from a single site to millions of sites. These sites often have marketing campaigns that use or sell digital products. There are digitally operated products in all parts of the marketplace. Most business today is conducted with digital files. Here are a few of the ways in which you might be used files that are created and transmitted digitally.

Files may be digitized when you have photographs. The color or black and white dots have digital values assigned that may be stored and form maps to be transferred from the photo source to another. The information on the computer monitor is seen by transferring values of the information on digital files back into readable or viewable format. Digital files are stored on portable devices or on hard disks and other formats.

Audio files are another type of files usable through digital means. Recording devices include microphones, CD writers and DVD writers as well as others. The digital files are heard through the computer through sound cards speakers and earphones. Any sound whether spoken, random or music may be recorded and played back through the use of digital files.

Printed products are able to be transformed or converted into digital form in the same way that audio and video files are captured. You can scan printed document documents which is much the same as photographing the documents. There is software that will allow you to transform the image of the letter into the value of the letter. The value of a letter can be edited in the same way any typed document is revised. Editing the image is the same as editing any photograph, one pixel at a time.

There are digital cameras available that are very sophisticated. They can be either video cameras or still cameras. Storage of the images is in digital format that can be collected and put onto storage devices. They can be transferred through the Internet. It is easy to edit digital format files. They can be cropped, stretched, enhanced and cleaned up to meet the needs of a user.
