Immortal 1957 Chevy you say! Why yes! Of course they don?t write songs about Toyota?s do they? How many remember Don MacLean?s immortal American Pie when Don drove his Chevy to the Levee. Also back when Prince sang his tune about his ?Little Red Corvette? everyone knew he was singing about his 1957 Chevy Convertible. People may not know who Don MacLean was but they all know he drove his Chevy to the Levee.

So was it magic in 1957 for Chevrolet or ?What?? Just ask anyone what year they associate the word Chevy with and more often than not you hear 1957 Chevy Convertible or just 1957 Chevy.

So today GM stands for Government Motors and you can?t help to wonder if they will ever try to recapture the Magic of the 1957 Chevy. One thing for sure if they would at least try it might possibly turn things around for the Good Old USA because everyone knows that there is nothing better than Hotdogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet.

53 years ago General Motors or the creation of (design guru) Harley Earl captured the hearts and souls of Americans with the concept and design of the 1957 Chevy Convertible. Just think of this kind of excitement in the automotive industry what it could do for this country.

Americans have not had anything to rally around since the start of the space program in the 60?s. Exciting low cost safe transportation to jump start the automotive industry could be just what America needs. The government has a hand in the pie and it sure would be nice if they would stir to pot and create something new and exciting for Americans.

Hotdogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet kept us going for 50 years. Why not start again with a new 1957 Chevy for 2010. America even with our government has the ability and technology available to ?Get er Done? and put America a great country back on it feet where we belong.

We now expect performance standards way above those required by the roads their cars would be driven on so why not just do it. So no more compromise and no more poor sales, America wants safe designs with the magic and class Chevrolet produced in 1957 today. If anyone could do it GM could crunch time is here today for America time to step up to the plate and hit the home-run we know we can.

Chevrolet was willing to compromise and quickly recognized that something needed to be pulled out of the proverbial hat in 1957 and it is time to do it again.
