The truth about traffic exchanges

You would think that a person that has been ripped off so many times online would just shut down their PC and call it quits. Well, I'm no quitter.

As you explore the internet searching for the venture you would like to delve into, you will no doubt come across two schools of thought. On the one hand many will tell you to steer clear of traffic exchange (TE) programs because they just do not work. On the other hand, you will come across those that swear by them. The ultimate decision is yours to make. However, before you decide it is always a good idea to have as much information as possible so that you can make an informed decision.

Now you may say I am biased toward traffic exchanges since I am a partner in one. This could be construed as true, however this post is not to promote my exchange it is to give you, the reader information as to whether or not you think TE's are worth using. When starting an online business, one of the most difficult things to do is get people to visit your new business. Of course you will tell your family and all of your friends and associates. But after that, then what? In order for your business (or website, blog, etc.) to get visitors you need to advertise. If you have deep pockets and tons of cash to throw at your online venture then you should have no problem. Simply spend some cash on Google Adwords, Yahoo and the many other online media outlets available. However, if you are like the majority of us, you have little to no advertising dollars.

So, we go back to the two options:
A) traffic exchanges are a waste of time, they do not work, or
B) you learn the in's and outs of traffic exchange usage and make it work for you.

Any reasonable person will agree that there are hundreds if not thousands of TE's operating on the internet at anyone time. Logic would dictate that they must be working or why are there so many? If you have asked this question, you are on the right track.

The simple answer to the question "Do Traffic Exchanges Work" is a resounding yes! The followup question becomes "how do they work"?

I will tell you how I came about to partner in a TE and then you can form your own conclusions.
I've already stated that I have been online since early 2001 and that I have been ripped off more times than I care to remember. While trying to set up my website to collect names and emails, because all the "guru's" were announcing that the money is in the list, I came across a website that was selling an audio devise that I thought was intriguing. I had always wanted to add my voice to my website but did not know how and assumed that it would be to expensive. Nevertheless, this particular audio software was being sold for a mere $5.00. I thought to myself, what the heck, the worst that could happen is that  lose another $5.00. So I reached for my credit card and made the purchase. After going through the security steps, the product was sold via Paypal, I was directed to the page to download my purchase. But to my surprise, there were two options. The one option was for me to get my product and that would be that. No rip off, I'd get my product and that would be the end of my relationship with this vendor. The second option offered me an opportunity to not only get my purchase, but to also start my own business, a franchise if you will, for no additional cost. Of course this peeked my curiosity and I had to explore.

To make a long story longer, I read every detail this site had to offer. It simply adapted and made it's systems better. So to it is with traffic exchanges.

The concept of TE's work. The problem arises when one does not know how to effectively use them.
