Hello,

My name is David and I have two companies involved in the natural fibre flooring market, I started fitting flooring when I was about seven years old . My Father was a carpeet fitter for the local Co-op and when he used to work at the week-ends and holidays I was his unofficial apprentice.

I did't start my own business until I was 28  and had been working as an enginneer up to that time but I got bored with that. So I started a part time business and was enjoying that more than my full time job.

Now 29 years down the line I have my Natural Home floors shop in Stockport and from there I am a partner in Rebtex Uk Ltd which imports sisal flooring from our parent company in South Africa.

Natural fibre flooring or carpeting as some call it has many advantages over its competitors and I propose to discuss these issues at length  on this blog  but you can see what sisal is all about on my websites.

Sisal products were widely used until the advent of petroleum base materials which was when it started to decline in popularity, but since the price ofg oil went up and supply decreased sisal is once again establishing a market as it can have an impact on the environment as it is a plant based sustainable product.

That is my introduction to my Blog I will pad it out later but if you have any questions please leave me a comment either here or through one of my sites
