If you're just starting your Internet business is now the time to take a great leap of faith and begin advertising… spending money to generate money on your own?… or is it time to take a deep breath and spend time on activities that appear for all the world like you are doing nothing that will satisfy your bank manager?
What on earth am I talking about ? you say, of course you need to start advertising is that not the way to generate income to advertise. After all you have a great product the sales letter told you that and you have a guarantee that you will get you money back for the business opportunity should you want to do so. And there must be millions of people who want to buy your latest acquisition.
So if you are new to Internet marketing I am not going to rain on your parade, however I will bet you that you paid more attention to the product and not enough to whom you paid your money. I will also wager that you did not find out specifically what steps your new found upline Internet marketer is going to do for you in terms of training, marketing support and general guidance. It is likely that if you are new you have not had previous marketing experience or perhaps you have not even owned a business previously.
Is it any wonder more than 97% of people fail in this business. However I said I was not going to rain on your parade and I am making my best attempt not to do so, but I will tell you what you need to know and not what you want to hear. Marketing on the Internet is not hard and you do not have to be extra cleaver, but you do need to know what to do.
By the way I do not have anything to sell you here I am only giving advise because the industry needs to take responsibility for its actions. More people loose money from Internet marketing than make money.
So I have presented you with a problem I suppose I should then in good conscience at least try to give you some guidance. My advise is probably not going to be heeded because it is not what you want to hear. First thing to do when looking for an Internet product or business is not at first look at the product other than see that is ethical and liable to be around for some time . I am going to assume for this exercise that most products are ok. What you really need to be looking at is who you are buying the product from and I do not mean who is the front man for the product I mean who is it that is immediately above you… Who is getting the commission check from you. That is the person you should be checking out. You want some commitment from that person. What are they going to do to help you be successful and how long is it going to take. Will they help you set realistic goals.. milestones to measure your progress Will they be guiding you about the step you need to take to make you successful and will they lay out a plan for your education. You will still have to put in the time to learn and you will still have to put in the time to make the business a success. Or did I forget something, oh yea, that’s right you only have to work a couple of hours a day to make a load of cash, I read that somewhere as well. Well not yet, and not for quite a while. You will need to be dedicated to your success and you will want be very serious about your efforts or else you will stay in the 97%.
