That Dogs Name is Tracker.

Let me tell you about Tracker. He is  blood hound, you know the black and tan hound with the long ears and the very sad eyes. Not much gitty up and go till he was asked to go to work. Tracker loved to relax. Even though he was lying there he was taking everything in. He didn't fool me, I am sure he knew everything that was going on in his surroundings at all times.

The afternoon was interrupted by the phone ringing, it was the neighbor down the way in a frantic voice was asking if we had seen their 4 year old daughter, Sara? She was just there but in a blink of a eye she was gone. Tracker and his master hurried down the lane to offer assistance.

The thought of a young child being out by herself was frightening especially as nightfall was fast approaching. Tracker was given a toy that the little girl had played with and without hesitation he was off. Smelling the ground sniffing the air circling back. You could just see the path Sara had taken. Tracker was doing his job well. He was able to find all of the places the little girl had been. As master was struggling to keep up Tracker approached the top of a hill and took off like a shot. As the master got to the top of the hill he could see what Tracker was running to. Sara was standing on the river bank throwing rocks into the rushing water. Tracker was by her side keeping her safe from falling in.

After a quick telephone call to let others know all was well the 3 started back home. Tracker had done his job. He had earned the great praise that was being bestowed upon him.
