Quote on Beauty by Salma Hayek
People often say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves.

Sunshine greeted me this morning, like an old friend come to play. Off went the dogs and I, into the fresh new morning.
Everywhere I looked I found beauty, in the hills leading up to the mountains, in the grains of sand along the beach near the river, in the blue, blue sky, in the chill of the wind, and the wamth of the rays of the sun.
I even created beauty in a spot by the river spoiled by the litter of beer cans.
I carry with me a fabic bag that folds up into a little square to put groceries in or anything else I might need to carry. Today the bag came in handy as I picked up beer cans, a plastic vodka bottle and some coffee cups. As I performed my little act of kindness I spotted a nice pair of sunglasses left behind in the sand. Interesting.
As I walked back along the road, I picked up a couple more coffee cups. When I arrived back at the car, my eyes now open for things to clean up, I saw a big axe/mallet combo on the ground, obviously waiting for me to discover.
Since I garden I thought an axe/mallet would come in handy.
So for the little effort it took to put beauty back, my rewards were a pair of sunglasses worth about $20 an Axe with a metal handle worth about $50.00 and some bottle returns of about $2.00, not a bad return on my investment.
And I left behind a small corner of the planet just a bit more beautiful than before.
Just imagine what would happen if all six billion of us did the same everyday.
Walk in quiet places,
Nick
