Decided to start some posts about increasing web visibility or in easier and understandable way: How to get more traffic by some tools which are free to use on the net. So, you have a lot of content but still not enough traffic to get additional income?

Here's a way (or advice) how you can get more traffic with Feedburner Headline Animator.

At first, what is Feedburner? Feedburner is a leading online service for blogs and RSS feeds. Their tools help bloggers and podcasters to promote and deliver content across the net. just to know, that Feedburner is not an easy gamer or unimportant site - it is aquired by Google five months ago for few hundreds of millions $$.

Headline Animator is one of Feedburner's alternative tools to publicize RSS feeds across the internet. For content publishers is an easy way to promote content anywhere you can place a piece of HTML code, such as blogs, forums, MySpace or other social network pages and more.

How to make it? As I wrote, it is very easy to create an animated banner which cycles through your feed's five most recent items. Of course, the first step is that you must sign in and burn a feed from your content. To burn feed is easy: you must give a name and after that just copy&paste RSS link of your's content.

(But where to find your ApSense content - blog - for example - link? It is in your profile page, it is in a right sidebar after the ad, it is an icon like this: and link to this icon is RSS link for your blog content. Link looks like: http://www.apsense.com/feed/blog.xml?id=yourname )

So, you copy your RSS link from ApSense to Feedburner and burn your feed. After that you click Publicize and get few options (one of them is SpringWidget skin - I'll wrote about that in one of my future posts) and you choose Headline Animator. With Headline Animator you create banner which rotates your most recent headlines. As an example, you can see below my ApSense blog feed as a banner in a various formats:

marS's Business Blogs

You can see that there is rotating five headlines of my latest blog posts here. You have also some customization options - predefined height and width, you can choose text and background colors but also you can choose your own background - example below is a banner with headlines created from my blog Revenue Sharing.

So, what to do with this? It's up to you.

This code is pure html code, so you should be able to put this code anywhere HTML code works, which means that this is a powerful tool for sharing your content almost anywhere on the web: blog posts, social networks, forums, comments, classic web pages, etc...
