Your Sweetness Is kiling me? ~*~
Sweet People, Love Them!
Sweet treats? There not all created equally. No pun intended?
I want to be careful mentioning any brand names, but I would like to talk about a couple of ingredients in this blog.
I know diabetics have to be cautious of cetain food, too much carbs, and sugars
Some doctors recommend sugar substitutes
Yet, How safe are these.
Most of us have heard of the risk of using saccharine and aspartame by now.
Yet there is another ingredient not talked about very much
Do you drink Protein Shakes? Could be in it
Do you consume Diet Products? May be in it
Do you drink Protein Shakes and Low Carb Shakes? Possibly in it
Do you chew Gum? Most likely in it
The ingedient I am speaking of is called many names. Here are a couple of names that you may just find lurking in the ingredients
Acesulfame Potassium
Ace K
Yes, this is an aritficial sweetner, or non-nutritive sweetner
Did you know?
Linked to brain tumors, and neurological diseases just to name a couple

The other hardly known or talked about ingredient I would like to mention in this blog
can be found on the cereal isle or you may just use it, if you have a yacht and clean your deck
If you find it on your boat, it has a picture of a skull and cross bones
Yet, you can find it in some cereals, again..no brand names here.
Ever heard of Tri-Sodium Phosphate.
Hmmm..some kind of sodium or salt? Hmmm..maybe something a little more. Sure makes for a clean, boat deck.
I once called into a radio station. The speaker was an expert in additives. I called in to get her advice on Tri-Sodium Phosphate. On live radio, she raised her voice and said there is no way that is in any food product. I'm very aware of what it is. I grabbed my kids cereal, and began to read the ingredients. She wanted to find out for herself, and told me to call back into the radio station the following week.
I did, and she was shocked that it was there, to say the least. Especially in the order of ingredients that it was found....before the vitamins, which means, there was more of it, than the vitamins. Not that 99% good for you with only 1% arsenic could be a good thing anyways.

Love to start a discussion. If you know of an ingredient that we should think twice before consuming, either through eating, or putting on our bodies through lotions..etc. let's talk
If you don't agree, Please voice your opinion...but,
Please Keep It Sweet!
