How To Make Email Writing Easier & Earn More From It

You want to build a list? That's great!

You've signed up with an autoresponder, created a free offer and a squeeze page to capture the emails and you've even got some traffic going to the squeeze page. People are signing up and one or two are even buying your back-end offer.

But What Next?

Part of having an email list is keeping in regular touch with your subscribers, but you realise that it's not a good idea to hit them with an invite to a sales page every time, so what else should you do?

The idea of every email (and social media post, book, film - any communication really) is to entertain and inform. Do that and people will come back for more and pay more attention to you.

Yes, you're a marketer and want to sell to people too, but if you make that almost a 'by the way, this is good' passing mention in your email, the sales will come more naturally, refunds will be lower and customer satisfaction will be higher.

So how do you write educational, informational and entertaining emails?

First of all, put your own personality in. Anything forced or false will soon be picked up by your readers and they will leave in their droves, never to return.

Secondly, find something of interest in your niche and talk a little about it. It doesn't have to be long and involved, 200 - 500 words is more than enough.

Thirdly, invite interaction. This makes the email system a 2-way process and means that more of your emails get through any spam traps. It also means that your readers know you are real and not some automated 'bot trying to squeeze every penny out of them.

If you're not a natural writer, then preparing and writing emails could be a problem to you. Even top writers have days where the brain won't be ticking, and then it's good to reach for the swipe file.

A swipe file is a set of documents that you have 'swiped' from other email writers. You wouldn't (and must not) use their words verbatim - off the page, but you can use them as inspiration and very often, you will find that these are emails that sell as well as entertain & inform.

If you're not on other marketer's lists or you haven't been collecting emails then the other thing to do is look into a pre-made collection. One such collection in the Internet Marketing niche is the AR Treasure Trove by Andy Waring.

AR Treasure Trove is 187 emails that Andy used in 2016 to propel him to the top 5% of WarriorPlus affiliates. In addition, there are another 186 emails by Sean Mize, another top internet marketer and these are provided as sales / education and a selection of email courses as well which are ideal as future free courses as the bribe for a squeeze page or two. Finally, there is a 90-minute video course on writing more emails for yourself.

Making good use of swipe files is a great way to learn how to use emails to make more sales and as education for yourself in writing the perfect email that informs, educates and (most importantly) sells. Turning you into a more profitable marketer.
