Why would you NOT share contact info when you send someone a contact request?

Well most of people here ask friendship only to have more addresses to spam!

My understanding was that sharing contact info wasn't in regards to your public info like other social media accounts but if you wanted to be emailed or offer phone contacts. I have no issue being contacted on social media but due to a decade of my inbox being spammed to death and my e-mail address sold to leads list without my permission I only give my good contact e-mail to a chosen few to avoid this happening.

Everybody need Neat and Clean Environment to Work that's why people not share our contact info with other but sometime they will share.

I usually share my contact info, because I love to make new friends on social sites...;)

Cindy, sorry I am with Warren on this one. I never accept contact request from anyone who cannot be bothered to fill in the Bio. If they want to contact me - they can, by messaging me through Apsense or look at my profile. There are so many people on Apsense now that think spamming is a norm that I too, have probably become paranoid about it.

And about that contact info... It is info that you have already entered in your APSense profile.... is that not what "Sharing Contact Information" refers to?... I accept all of the requests that I get.. I know that I am able to block them later if things don't work out!

Call me paranoid, but when I get a request from someone with no decent profile image, no Experiences, no Resources, no Bio, I'm not going to hand out any contact info. If they at least look interesting, I may still allow the connection in hope they can learn from any interaction that happens from that point on.

you should then see your info that YOU have put in there...
All of my boxes are checked I had a guy test this for me from APSense and he got my Skype IF from that info.... so are your boxes checked and do you have info in that area?

@Cindy - I have now spent 32 minutes trying to find my boxes to see what is ticked and I cannot even find my own Skype ID... Can anyone help?

@Iris B, you're not the first one I have met who had that problem. Another case I know of ended up having to appoint a full time body guard, it got so bad... My contact info is on my profile page and only two people ever asked me to be friends on FB, whom I befriended and then deleted one as it only posted adverts in it's FB page.

Because before U accept my Request , I'idnt want to share my updates with my apsensence buddies ,Let them be Qurioius about my new buddys.

Iris I have sent you a request to connect... I have checked the box to share my info with you. If we are not connected I am not able to send you a message.... Lets see how this connection thing works.... I am Not a stalker really!.. just trying to see about the settings options here at APSense

I don't share my contact info anymore after being harassed by a cyberstalker for almost a year. If people want to contact me they can send me a message to my apsense inbox. I see no point in sharing my personal info.

@Abdou.. Not that I can see but others think so..... we are connected and I am able to send you a message... How odd that I am not able to with Mike nor him with me.. A mystery indeed.

My settings didn't change My boxes are all checked.... I wonder how come I am able to send message to some and not to others.. You and I are Connected..
