@Joe... Not real sure how you click on a pic as you suggest.... to see if it is free or for pay.
@Sunil a. So this Pixabay is a site that you submit your images to and people are able to use them if they want.....? free of charge? I have liked them on Facebook and I get their pictures that they send they always say from which member the picture was sent in from.... So.. I am guessing that those beautiful pictures that I get I can use as I like.... at least that is what I am thinking???? Ye
I type in the topic and "public domain" or "free" then switch google over to images.
Once I find a pic I like, I click on it to see if it's truly free or available for pay. If it's not free, I move on.
Wikipedia images are really good about telling you what you can or can't do with their pics. The licenses are important. The rumors about Getty Images going after people is completely true and they are pretty ruthless about it. Better safe than sorry.
@CW Johnson you sure do. The real point is if you have the skills to do that, why not do it with something that is not subject to the problem or even create your own from scratch?
Any images from the Internet are automatically copyright, unless you receive specific permission to use them. If you use Google search and then apply the images you find to your own commercial purpose, it's like waiting for a bomb to go off right next to you.
Thanks for the input everyone. @Zoran... I always worry about that too.
@Joe.. nice site! I could see me sitting on that beach with a toddie in my hand!
Thanks Warren.. I have not heard of either of those Pixabay, Morgue Files... I have 2 wonderful cameras... as well as a flip...BUT>>>>>> I am a terrible picture taker..I always cut off the heads of people as well as they usually come out blurry. I often have my finger showing in the picture too. Silly Cindy
I just checked out both of them... Thanks for the TIP!

I am a blogger
I am a photographer, not a good one though. Yes I use Pixabay when there is no financial gain for posting my original work, thanks.

I embrace ALL aspects of ME!
Do you have to worry about copyrights if you edit the images; add effects, resize, change colors, etc?

Google search the topic and my own camera, as seen at http://hotcaribbeanholidays.com - just be careful not to have too much fun over there... ;-)
