If the family & friends are supportive of online businesses, then things get bit easier, otherwise lots of time goes to make them understand the importance of online business nowadays. I believe most of the family are well aware of the fact that online businesses are bringing change in job arena.
Very interesting replies, I am surprised not too many have answered. I agree with Queen and Mike both in certain ways. Although everybody has their own way of looking at a situation, it's quite common of friends and family to show interest or at least ask what one is doing to support their living.
Sondra, that is what I'm saying...I'm going to be totally honest here I made the bulk of my money online anyhow I could in the beginning and I didn't want to talk about it with them...5+ years ago I started the change and we talk about it all the time....any part of their life is important to me and mine to them.
Its a good thing i help support a lot of people that at one point in my life supported me! I have been places that most will not! But like bruce said the grace of God changes people and i thank him every day for allow me to change before it was to late! Take care! See you on G+ B!
I have 2 businesses, one offline and the other online. My family is more familiar with my offline biz, I'm still working on my online business since I've made a lot of changes trying different things, but still share what I'm doing with them. They are supportive of whatever I do and wish me well.
Bruce, again you shouldn't do that to yourself...all humans interact I didn't say you had to market them. If I was a doctor I people would ask me question about how it is going, what I was doing and so forth....I have family that are doctors and lawyers.
When people aren't concerned with what you are doing...they probably not concerned with you or what you do...I care about my garbage worker friend how his day was, did he something interesting...human stuff and feelings for my people.
My family and friends think nothing of my online business at all. Why would they?
My family and friends know I work online and that is that. Equally I know one of my friends is a nurse and I think nothing of it. We might ask each other how our day went or how work is going or how business is going, outside of that there is nothing to be thought.
I don't pitch my businesses to people, so my family and friends don't specifically know what I do other than "he has an online job".
I alway smile for saying a bout fun things when I was online
and show my skill more and more increasing for do that and pull them in to my works
Thanks to my loves
I have a good support system, my family! They are a little more advance than I am. But they will say I am, a tech savvy. When I started online looking for ways to make money, to fund my business, they jumped right in with me. 2010, I made $2.50, My oldest son made, $60.00, my youngest son made, well it was a watch and a pair pants from eBay. So I can say I have even met people online who has been supportive also. The point I am making is, if your family is not supporting you, other online market
Oh Josh, I do have a photographic memory (sum what) but I've been in about 400 discussions today please refresh that conversation with Taru....was it the lady from Canada who said her family supports her and her friend wants to do it but is afraid of identity theft? Thanks.
Lol Mike, wish I was "The Great One." Send me some tips, which you were saying to Taru about his friend that you don't want the bad guys to hear about if you don't mind please.

Mike G and Bruce both have different prospective on the subject. Thats nice. I just wanted to say, there never is one way to look at a situation.
