Rule number 1 would be: Get an autoresponder and invite people to join your list. Then market your products to that very same list.

To Alex Danny: I believe so. I`m not really sure how it works.

I am of the mindset that start up success as well as long term can best be reached by NOT leap frogging from one program to another.Or trying to run before you can walk and several other metaphors.
Find ONE thing; LEARN IT, FOCUS on it, WORK it;and help others do the same. If you try to drive more that one car at a a time;well it's bound to be a wreck; know what I mean?
NO ONE can begin more than one endeavor and have them all succeed;and if they say you can...........RUNNNNNNNN.

Number 1 rule is due diligence. This includes but is not limited to research, source of finance, business plan and support of those who depend on you or vice versa. Your research should be mainly to ensure that your product is in demand and if so what are the stats for users, where can you find them and how best to make contact.

Business has its ethics. The question is "What are the rules for startup success?" As far as I am concerned is you sell and advertise "Crap" then how can you be a success£ You may be successful in the beginning, but to continue, then you need those ethics. Be honest, have a genuine product, work hard and have patience. If you deal ethically with your customers and clients, then you will build trust and a successful long lasting business, and perhaps you can end end up by saying the same as Sean

I haven't got blinkers on Trev quite the oposite thats why for over 30 years I have operated my businesses offline and over 15 years online successfully and helped many other small offline businesses bring their business online.

Sean let it go... you've got your blinkers on... fundamentals of a business foundation can be built around insecure crap.. hence the good versus the bad and the ugly. whether in an offline or online world... your business model will depict your personal approach for the business you promote... and how many businesses can you own?
Multiple because your an entrepreneur.

Ok Sean and Harry you both have validity but we are getting off track with your comments. Harry has a unique business value as do you Sean thats only a matter of ethical principles...the sea is full of fish and we are the sharks only some sharks are more aggressive than others for survival !!! To be Fair to Angelcho Rules are in place for fair trading activity online, Rules are in place for misleading advertisements and irrelevant content... be cautioned I cannot give you the full in's and outs

As per as my knowledge there are many things which we have to studied before startup process. Take a good knowledge about what kind of work your doing, which area you are targeting, Raw material, captial, investment etc.

I made my share Mr. North it is my opinion that if you give the internet rules you destroy the fabric. I have made a lot of money and it wasn't until I stopped following and started leading that I made. I joined hundreds of groups and what not my highest was thousands a month and you can tell me right now for free everything that they did then. I'm telling people to take action no matter how great of a person we are if the person spends a dollar and does nothing we aren't that great after all in

Sounds to me Harry that you don't really want to build a business but just fleece people of their hard earned at any cost, I've seen this attitude many times over the years and sooner or later it ends with a run in with the authorities
