Marriage without love generally ends in divorce. One or the both of spouses can be the culprit in this case.

There is a merit here. While the question may be begging, a careful look or dissection might shed some light. To start off, has anyone wondered why a simple relation as boyfriend-girlfriend tend to last longer than most marriages and everything is copacetic until marriage is effected, then everything starts falling apart from the seams.

Inflated ego and lack of socializing instincts are the basic reason for divorce. Drug addiction, alcoholism, lack of financial resources have only secondary importance.

Let me see now.....you can't get a divorce unless you are married. So my guess would be that "marriage would be the single most cause for divorce.

Lol.....I don't think so. It is because two people failed to keep their commitment to each other. Better or worse. It is so sad because the grass is not always greener on the other side.

Kelly,

"Technically the answer is yes because you can only divorce if you are married."

True, you cannot get divorced if you're not married. But marriage is not the "CAUSE" of divorce, which was the question.

"Deep question."

I think that's the problem, man. People are trying desperately to make a deep issue out of something that is common sense. It's like the socialists running around America constantly crying "it's too complicated," just because they do not want to think about anything.

OOOOOH! Deep question. Technically the answer is yes because you can only divorce if you are married. But, realistically I think society plays the most important role. Our moral and values system has decreased to the point that staying married for years or until death due you part is virtually impossible. Our interests change from day to day. We get caught up in everyday life and keeping up with the Jones to the point that we don't eat, pray, or stay together. How often do you hug your sp

So, Marty, your wife left you because you married her? That's your excuse? It's an unlikely one, considering that most women start dreaming about marriage around the age of three or four and spend the rest of their lives fantasizing about their wedding day until it arrives. I imagine her reasoning being something more embarrassing, like erectile dysfunction. But, hey, maybe you got that one chick in existence that never thought about marriage until it happened and, just after being pronounce
