Generally, I like to divide keywords into where they fall in the sales funnel. There are keywords that generate awareness (at the top of the funnel). Then there are keywords that are in the middle of the funnel, where people are in the consideration mode. Finally there are bottom of funnel keywords with high buyer intent. They have lower search volume, but can drive the most customers for you.
