me too ..Copywriting is the act of writing copy (text) for the purpose of advertising or marketing a product, business, person, opinion or idea. The addressee (reader, listener, etc.) of the copy is meant to be persuaded to buy the product advertised for, or subscribe to the viewpoint the text shares.
Copywriters are used to help create direct mail pieces, taglines, jingle lyrics, web page content (although if the purpose is not ultimately promotional, its author might prefer to be called a con
Yes, this is an extremely important marketing skill. One of the best courses I have taken was the Copywriter's Guild by by Tim Erway and Mike Dillard. Message me if you would like the link :)
Valerie, what's funny is I have over a dozen books of some kind and don't remember reading them all the way through. I learned through trial and error. Although, I did hire a copywriter once but my ramblings sold more than his did which I couldn't understand. I had to let him go.
As a published author, I am practicing copy-writing. I find "eager beavers" can be given a splash page to go to and they will either "signup or not signup." I know this sounds cold-hearted but I quit trying to promote and sell my opportunity and started looking for "quality" prospects who were looking for my help in networking. I got tired of chasing people with my opportunity. I'll help the new sign-up every way I can but I try to devote my time to those who deserve it and not those who demand
Terry, I agree that is the best way to ever do business. Sometimes though, you may have a client that may ask you to promote and need results now. What do you do in this case?
I use copy-writing. One of the main complaints we have when using the internet is continuous ads and being pushed to buy something. It is always free and always guaranteed to make you money. What honestly works is good old value and building relationships. One other thing: You can't build relationships if you are trying to sell someone something. That is called "buying friends."
