PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma is a technique deviced for tissue repair and rejuvination. It is prepared by taking the patient’s own blood and isolating the platelets from it. The platelets are isolated by means of centrifugation at a certain RPM. The platelets are then activated to release chemicals that help in tissue repair. In recent times, it has become a very popular treatment in dermatology and has been used for hair loss, skin rejuvenation, hyper-pigmentation, acne, wrinkles and stretch marks.
