If you are hosting Minecraft games and living in the Minecraft world, you probably know about Redstone. This material can be used to make a number of different things from lights to doors to different devices. You can also use it to move water or construct big things like bridges.

Along with Redstone, you also need to be able to have a power source and some other kinds of building blocks to have all the tools you need to create and build new things from the blocks.

This guide has all the details you need to know to build the necessary items for your game out of Redstone.

A Secret Entrance with a Fireplace

Everyone wants a cool secret entrance into the home or other structure that they are building in Minecraft. You can use Redstone to build a fireplace and have a secret entrance behind it. When you push a button, the fireplace will open and you can walk down the stairs to find your secret place.

Along with Redstone, you will need some brick slabs, bricks, sand, Redstone repeaters, and Redstone torches.

Automatic Farms

If you have been playing Minecraft for a long time, you know that farming is very useful as it allows you to gain resources and be able to survive in the game longer. With Redstone, you can make your farming automatic which means you will do less work but still have enough resources to keep yourself well in the game.

Some of the best automatic farming things you can make are crops, mobs, and other items. This also allows you to save a lot of time on collecting items so you can spend time in the game doing other things.

Item Sorter

Most players in Minecraft create a way to sort their items as you can easily lose items when you are not organized. This can confuse you on the resources you have and the ones you might be lacking it’s always a good idea to have your items sorted.

Redstone is one of the best materials for sorting items. It can automatically sort the items for you so rather than having to take the time to sort your own items, you can just put them in the sorter and it will do the work for you.

Teleporter

If you are new to building with Redstone, building teleporters is very easy so you can try building this one even if you are new to the game. Having teleporters is very helpful as well as they can go and look for resources and other items for you when you do not have the time.

Once they get what you are looking for, they will come back to your home and give you the items.

You can also build your teleporters as manual or automatic. Automatic teleporters are often better for single players while the manual ones might be better for servers where you are in multiplayer mode.

Circuits

One of the main points of Minecraft is that you go and gather resources before bringing back all the items you have found to your home. Sometimes you can go out and find a large quantity of items and then have a very difficult time bringing them from one location to another.

You can build storage items and circuits with many materials, but building with Redstone is the most effective. You can build a minecart and then use it to transfer all the different items you find back to your home or home base.

This often works better than Ender boxes for example because Ender boxes are hard to make and they also take up a lot of room in the little storage or inventory space you may have.

Smelter

As a player in Minecraft, you might spend a lot of time smelting ores and other materials to help you build things. However, smelting things one by one is very complicated and takes up a lot of time.

With an auto smelter, you can automatically smelt the different items you find. Auto smelters work extremely efficiently and well when you make them out of Redstone.

You can then spend more time doing other activities without having to spend most of your gaming hours looking for materials and then smelting them.

Stone Generator

This generator is often one of the first things people build with Redstone because it’s simple but very useful. All you need is some lava, water, and building blocks. Since it’s very compact, it will not take up a lot of room in your inventory space.

Make sure you elevate the generator onto Hoppers so that it will not get destroyed by lava or something else that might be in the ground below.

Bridge Maker

If you are playing around the Nether, you know how easy it can be to fall into the lava since it’s basically everywhere. The lava also makes it hard to travel from place to place. When you build bridges though, you can easily go from one place to another.

Redstone is one of the best things to build bridges without because they will not fall and they are very stable. You can also make a contraption with Redstone that automatically builds bridges for you allowing you to hop from one place to the next.

Along with having a Redstone machine, you will need some packed ice, and slime balls to make the automatic bridge builder. For the Observers, quartz is the best material.

The Bottom Line

If you are new to the Redstone server, you might be unsure of what you can build as well as all the different things you can make. This guide gives you the best eight ideas so you can see the items that are the most useful.

Some of the things are harder to build than others so you might want to begin with the easy items and then work your way up as you become more used to making things with Redstone.
