Solution 1: Verify the Hosting Process
Step 1: Open QuickBooks and Go to File and then Utilities.
Step 2: There will be an Option on the list called Host Multi-User Access which means that this computer is not hosting the company file and it’s safe to move on to the next computer. Don’t change anything when you see this mode.
Step 3: But, instead you see the Stop Hosting Quickbooks Multi-User Access click on it and it will prevent your computer from being the host, except the host computer.
Step 4: Except for the real host, repeat this procedure for every computer that has Quickbooks installed in it.
Solution 2: Check to See if Proper Services are Running
Step 1: In case you are applying a version of Windows that is previous to the Windows 10 then the better thing to do is to run the services by accessing on your PC and choosing the start button and locating to the Run dialogue box.
Step 2: In the dialog box, Type “services.msc”
Step 3: If you are a Windows 10 user, you can also visit Services by Pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys together which will open Task Manager.
Step 4: In the Task Manager, locate for the services tab and next to the gears icon at the bottom you will find an option called Open Services, Click on that.
After you have successfully open Services, follow the instructions:
Step 1: Locate the QuickbooksDBXX by tapping on the Name column in order to sort the services in alphabetical order.
Step 2: Right-click on the service and tap on Properties.
Step 3: Set the startup type to Automatic
Note: Check if the service status is Running or Started.
Step 4: If the status stopped, click on the Start button in the Properties window.
Step 5: Find the First failure option in the recovery tab and choose to Restart the Service. This will ensure that the service will restart automatically if it fails.
