eRepublik is a game in which there are many, many things you can do in order to help yourself, your country, or your alliance.
1.Economically
In eRepublik, your objective, should you choose to focus on the economical part of the game, is to earn as much as possible, by selling products on the market or by working every day for a salary. To grow your economical empire, you will have to control the fluctuations of the market, knowing what to sell at what moment, and be able to scan the job market for the juiciest job offer possible. Your initial companies will only be two small workshops, but with dedication and time you will grow into a successful businessman!

Like in real life, each country has a president, a congress, and political parties. Each of these holds an election on a different day of the month (5th for presidential elections, 15th for party elections and 25th for congress elections) where all the citizens of the country (or all the members of the party) are able to vote for their favorite candidate, or even run for the spot if they feel that they can get it. If you do reach one of these important positions, you will effectively have control over your country, your party, or (in this case, along with your fellow congressmen) the laws affecting the country.

Two coutries in the heat of battle
When two eRep countries face off, a battle is started. To win said battle, your country will have to inflict more damage than the enemy (inflicting damage costs food and weapons). As you can see in the above screenshot, the damage inflicted moves the middle bar. When the bar is on the enemy's side, your country will begin to earn points. First to 1800 points wins!
