Did you ever just want your pooch to talk for the fun of it or maybe even for some sort of competition? Here are some easy steps on how to make your cute little pooch talk.

1. Use a certain treat or toy for your dog that he or she likes.

Get tiny treats that are not too filling or big so he or she will want to stay awakened and active.

2. Get yourself and your dog into a quiet room where you can both concentrate without outside interferences.

3. Show the treat you have for your pooch and you will say "speak" or "sing" or whatever command you want to use. Hold the treat above him or she and give him at first the sit or beg command.

4. Command your dog to talk. Repeat until you hear a slight bark or "I want the treat!" sound. If your dog makes any noise, be it a whine or a full bark praise your dog and give him the treat or toy.

5. Keep repeating these simple steps to make your dog speak. Tips try to get something your dog likes, and hold it up in the air. The key is if your pooch becomes slightly frustrated he will whine or bark. Eventually he will come to know the command you are using as the command to bark.

Don't give up self confidence, your dog will eventually speak it takes time and practice. The average time to make your dog or dogs speak if you work with it a lot takes about 3-5 days. (Some puppies or dogs take longer or shorter amount of time; it really just depends on your dogs and the owner.)

If your pup is tired, or doesn't want to be bothered, wait until he or she is ready; you will get better results.

If you tend to get frustrated easily, let someone else take over, or you may scare your pup and ruin this. If you see your pup is losing focus, try later when he is ready.

Warnings: Don't force your dog to sing or speak, let your pet get there on his or her own. Involve the whole family in the training process, otherwise your pet may come to see only the trainer as dominant and other family members will have a hard time getting him to obey.
