client searching for exactly what you offer, but you may also get the customer
who uses different terms for the same search results. Additionally, you will
collect those looking for generic terms. All three of those result in greater
exposure to a larger audience than almost any other form of advertising.

When your competitor
advertises on late-night television, their reach is anyone up watching TV and
paying attention. The same applies to every other form of advertising. You are
throwing a broad net over a potential audience pool and hoping that net
captures a portion of that audience .
With SEO, your
audience is already looking for you (or your competitor if your SEO is not
effective.) They do not need to be convinced to call, they are, in effect
calling, via their searching on SEO terms and then visiting your site. All you
have to do is not lose them, but you never get there without a good SEO
strategy.
