When Will the Top School in Kolkata Have Their Annual Sports?

Birla High School Mukundapur is known as the top school in Kolkata. The school apart from offering a value-added education system also offers several development sessions and events for the students. One such celebrated event in the school calendar is the annual sports day. Every year the school management organizes this event where students participate and compete in various sporting events in a fair and competitive spirit.

However, due to the ongoing pandemic situation, all in-person activities of BHS Mukundapur have been put on hold. Getting back to the main point of discussion, that is when BHS Mukundapur will have its annual sports. Well, the matter of fact is that, as the school is yet to open up and resume its in-person activities, it is difficult to say when the school sports will again be held. Both the students and teachers do look forward to this occasion but its most likely that until the government provides any further notice, the school won’t open and there will be no annual sports.

The build-up to the sports day was huge. Students started showing tier excitement and enthusiasm months before the day of the event. The teachers encouraged them to enrol in the different events and the drills and the practice sessions started months before the day of the event.

Trainers and sports teachers ensured that the students were participating in the practice sessions and brushing up their skills to compete on the big day. They also ensured that by no means the students get hurt while practising.

On the day of the event, the students used to put in their best effort in the event in which they are enlisted. Those who came out victorious were applauded, appreciated and awarded in front of parents, teachers, special guests and other students. They were encouraged to keep up the good work for the following year. The event winners were also advised to not get overconfident and get carried away with their success.

The students who couldn’t do well during the event were encouraged to put up a better show in the following edition. They were told not to lose hope with a single failure and they have miles to go in the future.

The annual sports day of Birla High School Mukundapur was also an opportunity for interaction for parents and teachers. Either party met and greeted each other and discussed the performance and progress of the children.

Now we can only hope that the school reopens soon so the management can again think of hosting this amazing event.
