But does ghee go bad? Yes, just like any other product, ghee also goes bad after a certain time. But ghee has a longer shelf-life than any other dairy staple. Pure cow ghee is great for all.

Here we are giving some guidelines for storing ghee-

  1. Usually, organic ghee needs no refrigeration support as it can stay intact for 10-12 months from the date of manufacturing.

  2. Organic ghee manufacturers always use grass-fed butter to make ghee.

  3. An airtight ghee container could be stored safely and kept in a cool place to increase the shelf-life.

  4. Keep the ghee away from any moisture. Any additional moisture in the ghee jar or if you are using a wet spoon to take out ghee.

  5. Make sure the ghee jar is away from the direct sunlight.
