Since the reform and opening-up, China’s economy has developed rapidly, and the agglomeration effect of cities has been very obvious, which has triggered a common and high incidence of “urban diseases” in modern society and cities. “Urban disease” refers to problems such as traffic congestion, housing shortage, insufficient water supply, energy shortage, environmental pollution, disorder, imbalance of input and output of material flow and energy flow, aggravation of demand contradiction in the process of urban development. So in reality, are you troubled by the chaos in the following cities?

1. Urban traffic jam

Traffic congestion has always been criticized by people. Traffic problems are mainly manifested in traffic congestion and the resulting pollution, safety and other issues, resulting in increased travel costs, frequent traffic accidents, and the decline of the urban environment and air quality.

2. Urban environment deterioration

The congestion in the city brings about the heat island effect of the city, which is followed by people littering and destroying the urban environment. However, the garbage accumulated in the city has already exceeded its bearing range. In people’s life, such phenomena as air pollution, noise pollution and diseases caused by excessive urban mental pressure are more prominent.

3. Chaos in cities

Indiscriminate construction, chaos, and graffiti are common problems in urban management. They are usually because of the convenience of personal convenience, which makes the urban order more chaotic, and the city’s taste and the image will be greatly reduced, affecting the masses. Improvement in travel quality and improvement of the urban road traffic environment.

These “urban diseases” cannot be solved by merely relying on the routine patrol and supervision of urban management personnel. Therefore, in view of the above urban management problems, can we consider using big data to improve urban management capabilities? Recently, the Intelligent City Operation and Management Center of Jiangbei District was completed and put into operation in the technology and finance Center of Jiang Bei mouth, marking that the Intelligent City Management Center of Jiangbei District took the lead in entering the 3.0 phase of Intelligent City Management in the whole city.

What is Smart Urban Management 3.0? Liao Guanghong, director of Jiangbei District Urban Management Bureau, used an image to introduce: “We use video intelligent analysis system to’ see’ visible urban management problems; We can’t see the urban management problems, we use the IOU intelligent perception system to "feel":

1. Effectively deal with urban management problems: The accuracy rate of video capture of various problems reaches 90%.

In the past, the lane-occupying operation was a difficult problem that troubled urban management and law enforcement personnel for a long time. Most of the people occupying the road are peddlers. If there is no law enforcement personnel on the scene all the time, the problem will easily “resurrect” and thus it is difficult to cure it.

In order to eradicate this problem, Jiangbei District Urban Management Bureau has incorporated the intersection of lane-occupying operation into the key point of intelligent video capture to capture all the time. Once there is a problem at the intersection, the system will automatically capture and dispatch it to the urban management and law enforcement personnel. Finally, the system will automatically check the processing results. After the video intelligent analysis system has been “defending the dead and defending the dead” for nearly a month, the problem has been cured and has not “resurrected”.

In the administration hall, a 70-square-meter video monitoring display screen displays various kinds of information related to city operation in real-time, and the “health status” of city management is clear at a glance. The new system brings together 24,000 video sources in Jiangbei District and more than 1,800 key points for intelligent video capture. The system has already realized intelligent collection, one-touch forwarding, automatic dispatch, intelligent verification and intelligent case closure of 58 types of urban management problems such as lane-occupying operation, illegal outdoor advertising and sewage dumping, with a total of 80,125 items effectively collected and disposed of. This is also an intelligent system that captures the most types of urban management problems in the domestic video intelligent analysis application field at present. At the same time, it also greatly improves the intelligent level of off-site supervision of urban management in Jiangbei District. The accuracy rate of video capture of various problems has also increased from the earliest 50% to 90%.

2. IoT Sensor: Smart “ears” and “eyes”

At present, some or all of the Internet of Things devices such as sensors have been installed on various urban components such as sprinklers, bridges, garbage trucks, manhole covers and street lamps in Jiangbei District, becoming the “ears” and “eyes” of urban management departments. In addition to the intelligent equipment in front and the “intelligent brain” in the rear, Jiangbei District Intelligent City Operation and Management Center has successfully built a “1322 architecture” system consisting of “one data center, three management platforms, two technical supports and two auxiliary monitoring”. Among them, the big data center builds the Jiangbei intelligent city management brain by sharing the comprehensive data of cross-industry cities and relying on the modeling and intelligent analysis of the three indexes of city management “construction, operation and health”. Whether the comprehensive management of the city is up to standard or not depends on the data.

“Pan-perception, intelligent application, big data, gridding and refinement” is the goal of the 3.0 phase of intelligent urban management. Among them, “pan-perception”, that is, the “weaving” of the internet of things of city components, is the key point. it is necessary to install various sensors and other devices on city components, so that “everything” can be endowed with “perception” capability, and then transmitted to the cloud for analysis through the internet of things technology, so that city managers can see the “health” status of the city. As the overall solution provider of the Internet of Things in location-based service, the Jimmy IoT has been dedicated to exploring safe travel in smart cities for 20 years, building a vehicle fleet management/electric vehicle management service system from sensing and intelligent control processes of the IoT to intelligent big data, and realizing the interconnection of people, vehicles and clouds.
