Walmart Super Center was seen to be under construction in Rialto, which is expected bring more job for the locals in the area.

Walmart Stores might open a new super center, which is under construction for now in Rialto. This will raise the employment rates in the area, and highly beneficial for the poor economy of the area.

Walmart Stores Inc. had to make some tough decision in the beginning of this year. It made headlines of giving wage raises to all of its employees in different countries and cities, but this meant, huge sum being investment in the workforce, which led to the giant retail chain facing defeat in profits. It closed hundreds of store in the United States to cut costs and save extra expenditures. These stores were mostly express stores in poor areas of the country and they were not providing expected profit.

Walmart Stores is focusing on opening super center rather than express stores now. A store is witnessed in Rialto to be under construction, which is expected to bring profits, jobs and help the economy of the area, along with the business. Rialto does not have many grocery chains, which means this will be jackpot for the city and the retail chain, as customers will only have one outlet to purchase items.

The land used by Walmart to construct the super center is 220,000 square feet, next to Riverside Avenue which is north of 1Q Freeway. The city had a Walmart express store, which occupied 114,000 square feet of land and is now being replaced by this huge super center. The workers in the express store will not lose their job but work at the super center upon its completion with an addition of 80 more workers. The hiring and interviews of the now employees will take place in the fall, according to a spokesman for the retailer, Delia Garcia.

Walmart Wholesale new store will open at the end of this year, providing customers with a wider variety of items to choose from and a better shopping experience. Tenant of the store will include Chipotle, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Les Schwab Tires, Ono Hawaiian BBQ and many others. After the completion, this super center is going to be the second biggest shopping place in the city for customers.

Since Rialto does not have many shopping outlets in the city, locals have to drive all the way to Fontana and Ontario in order to purchase groceries. With the super center being available to these locals, it is going to be huge for the entire city. This move will also help to raise the land value of the city, which is currently very low, indicating that Walmart might not have to pay as much to buy the land for the construction of its upcoming store.
