Kshitij Thakur: A Man of Class and Character
Among the various problems, our country, India,
faces is the problem of brain –drain. The phenomenon is so common and mostly
discussed in the elite circles and political debates. The word ‘brain-drain’
appears to be a fashionable one, but the when we try to inspect the inner
bleakness of the same; we come to know about a kind of situation which is of a
greater concern. There are a number young of people, who attain education in
India and provide their services to other countries. But there would be rare cases
in which a young man of nearly 25, studies in abroad, attains a bachelor degree in Business Management from Baldwin
Wallace University in USA (2004) and comes back to his own country to serve his
own nation, his own people. Yes, gentleman. I am talking about Kshitij Thakur, one of
the youngest politicians in Maharashtra, India assembly.
Brought up in a political environment under the
influence of his renowned father, Mr. Hitendra Thakur, Kshitij had visioned a
dream of serving the people in the childhood that he adhered till the last
moment until he completed his studies and returned back to India and defeated
some of the veteran politicians in his very first elections. Kshitij has
passion for politics and education that’s how he completed his MBA from Mumbai
University, and a real estate management degree from Harvard University in USA. He is currently pursuing his PHD in Education
from Mumbai University.
Owing to his down-to-earth
nature, he easily persuades people and has become very popular among youth. Kshitij Thakur believes
firmly in the slogan of ‘simple living, high thinking’ that’s why instead of spending millions of
Rupees in his wedding, he participated in a mass wedding and tied the
knot with her life partner with other numerous, 1017 to be exact, couples. The
entire event was organized and afforded by the Viva
Charitable Trust; a trust presided by none other than Hitendra Thakur.
There is numerous videos in
which this MLA from Nala Sopara, addressing youth at various events. The
confident of this young lad is phenomenal and its audible speeches may
captivate you for hours without food and water. He has almost reconstructed his
constituency: new roads, clean environment, trees, plants, schools, medical
centers etc. His exceptional achievements in this little time and age are
nothing but the testament of his people oriented policies and unfathomed love
for people. Kshitij Thakur has become a real model for Maharashtra and Indian
youth. Youth seeks inspiration from him, elders love him, and opponents shower
praise on him. Such is the character and caliber of this true young Indian.
