Coronavirus Tests is required for Umrah

Usual coronaviruses such as 229E, NL63, OC43, and HKU1 found in human, typically cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory territory illnesses, like the common cold.  These viruses at some point attack people in their lives. Such kind of infections usually falls for a short volume of time. Symptoms are:

•    Runny nose
•    Headache
•    Sore throat
•    Fever
•    A common feeling of being poorly
•    cough

Coronaviruses viruses may sometimes cause lower-respiratory tract diseases, such as pneumonia or bronchitis. This is common in people weakened immune systems, infants, and older adults with cardiopulmonary disease. 

Two other coronaviruses such as MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV frequently cause severe symptoms. MERS usually includes fever, cough, and shortness of breath which often progress to pneumonia or kidney failure. It causes death as many people with MERS have died. SARS includes fever, chills, and body aches which usually progressed to pneumonia. Yet, no human cases of SARS have been reported anywhere in the world since 2004. Irregular MERS cases continue to occur, mainly in the Arabian Peninsula.

The Ministry of Health has taken an action which involves the testing for Coronavirus of the Umrah pilgrims arriving Saudi Arabia with flu-like symptoms. Abdullah Asiri, director of the ministry’s infection control department says that the necessary measures to limit the spread of this fatal virus were required. However, if you want to make sure it easy then last-minute umrah deals is the best in this regard. 

Though such harmful disease has not been reported out of the country, yet still there are places which do not have the equipment necessary to carry out the test for the virus. That’s why all the pilgrims who enter the Kingdom are tested. Since the medical inspection for coronavirus requires modern equipment and sophisticated technology but most of the pilgrims come from countries that do not have such equipment.

Until now the country has reported twenty-four cases in which two men, 48 and 58 years of age are the recent cases. However, 9 cases were fatal. 

Al-Ahsa the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia has prevailed such disease but it got prevented to have extended to other parts of the Kingdom. Dr. Ziad Al-Memish, undersecretary for public health at the ministry said that few cases of the infections were found in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam but no further infections have been reported. He further added that no new cases of the virus have been found in other parts of the Kingdom.

Not just by the Ministry of Health but Keiji Fukuda, assistant director-general for health security and environment at the World Health Organization (WHO) the Eastern Province of the Kingdom got visited last Saturday. He admired the protective steps and control measures taken by the Kingdom in the control of Coronavirus situation.

For many years the Kingdom has taken the steps regarding the protections against various other contagious diseases like Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and the H1N1 virus (Swine Flu). However, Coronavirus is another challenge which the Saudi Kingdom has faced but it successfully being taken care of.

Therefore, the Umrah pilgrims are requested to cooperate with the authorities to prevent this deadly virus.
