Attention surfers! Lazyness will cost you!

Image I have studied a lot of traffic exchanges. Many offer great features to brand your self and your business and to get a downline.

Exploring these features will cost you time. Make use of them even more. However this is time well spent. I am really amazed that not more people make use of them; most people sign up and start surfing to earn credits to promote their program. They never take the time to fill out the downline builder or explore the features of the TE they just joined.

And these features are really worthwhile. Many TE’s offer the possibility to create a personal splash with one or more links to your favorite opportunities. On many you can create a profile and post messages. On many you can list your own (affiliate) program.

All these things will cost you no credits, just a bit of your time. When you only join TE’s to surf and earn credits to promote your opportunity you might get some exposure, sign ups or referrals. However credits don’t last long on popular TE’s. However if you take the time to list your program where possible this has  a long lasting effect; you will get sign ups that don’t cost you any credits.

Many TE’s have features to build personal splash pages, lead capture pages  and/or branded banners. Setting those up is easy. It is really worthwhile to create your own especially for programs that are promoted by many. You need to stand out to grab attention of the surfer!

There are even TE’s that have the opportunity to add a sign up form attached to your own auto responder allowing you to build your list to build your business.

About credits: most users miss out on a lot of credits because they never take the time to read the messages from the TE’s they joined and thus missing out on special promotions and JV surfs, better ratios and more!

Bottom line is that TE’s can really help your business if only you do more than just join and surf.

Great advice Paula. I do read those TE emails everyday AND the blogs. Most times there are free credits in there and if you don't read them you miss out on the extra credits and/or cash that could go further in the
traffic we all want to expose our offers to.

Nice article Paula. I cant believe it. THe first thing when im signed up to a new traffic exchange is looking around what kind of features it has. Then set up the links i want to promote and set up the downline builder. Now i check when and how to grab bonuses.

Thank you Steve. There are so many great tools all over the net. But they are only effective when used in the correct way. As a figure of speech: a golden fork is a great instrument but useless if you try to eat soup with it.

Great article, Paula. Everyone should read this. Traffic Exchanges sometimes get a bad rap but the can be very effective in building a list.
