In Memory of John Lennon,

Exactly 30 years ago John Lennon, English musician and singer-songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as one of the founding members of the group the Beatles was shot outside his home in New York walking to his Limo.

I recall this day, like it was yesterday, do you recall what you where doing when you heard this tragical news.  What went through your mind, as we lost one of the most famous musician that the world has ever know.

Being a big fan of John Lennon l felt this was a special moment to write a short article on one my hero's that produced, wrote and sang some of the most memorable songs the world had a chance to share.

So let's dedicate this article to his famous song

"Give Peace a Chance"

I actually added this song for a special friend of mine
who was there, at the Dakota's not so long ago

SO THIS IS CHRISTMAS

I was 11 years old at the time... had heard of John Lennon, listened to the Beatles, but didn't really pay much attention to anything that was happening in the world. Still, I remember thinking that it was a sad day and that we had lost a great singer/songwriter... RIP John, we loved you then and love you now!

Joseph,

Don't play mind games here.

Ok, you're a beautiful boy, still...

Imagine that APSense became the biggest site in the world.

Every day, I feel like starting over.

I must say things appear easier when you stand by me.

:)

I love John Lennon and the Beatles. I am in several amateur bands where we have also Beatle songs and other oldies on the repertoire. I of my favorits is still the song "Yesterday" and "Hey Jude".

I always remember that day he got shot l was only around the age of 18 just coming home from my girl friends house got home and all l had heard was John Lennon had been shot. Tears started come down my eyes, then it felt like the whole world had stopped all you heard on the radio where his songs and comments about him.

The question being why did he got shot, for what reason and all l could hear where the lyrics to his famous song Imagine.

I love the Beatles even though I don't know much about them other than they where a great Rock and Roll Band of their era. When I was younger my Step mom taught me how to dance to the Beatles songs. As for John Lennon, I believe he was a good man with good intension of seeking world peace. REST IN PEACE John Lennon!
