Simple business relationships tips

These tips won't cost you a penny. Use them often, people will appreciate it.

When you read an article here, and you like it :

  • Check the "Recommended Reading" box at top right, then click on the "thumb up" if you like the article.
  • Share on Twitter, FaceBook, the buttons are at the bottom left just before the comments part
  • Write useful comments, either informative, or something about you related to the blog, or something specific that shows you actually read the blog
  • Send a contact request to the author of the article, mention something  you liked
  • Bookmark the article's URL, if you believe it could be used as a reference
  • Put the URL into your ApSense Business Center ( ABC ) Resources page
  • Promote it ! Use the "promote" link. I know, it will mean using some of your own credits. One more reason to become a Partner here.
  • Do all of the above :)
  • Mention in a comment to the article that you did some or all of these things

Some of these things can be applied to RevPages too.

In the network feed, when you see a post in the Apsense.stream, the twitter-like feature, click on it and follow the person. Most will follow you back. It gives you a chance to write things more detailed than the new status feature. Just don't throw links in every post, or you will get the opposite result, the people will block you.

Send as many Contact Requests as possible. I'm saying this because many people are free members, and you can only send 3 CRs a day. Count it, it is 90 CRs a month, not counting the ones you receive. When the person accepts, most people do, it gives you the chance to send PMs when you wish to say something in private. I use it to mention mistakes people have made in their blogs that make them look bad, and nobody else knows if the person fixes it. Granted, I don't have all the knowledge in the world about what's bad, I just talk about obvious things, like blog titles ending in the middle of a word.

FaceBook tips :
  • When you share a blog on FaceBook, most of the time you get a choice of thumbails to go with your post at FB. You don't have to choose one if there's no good fit. If you choose one, I recommend you either take a picture that represents what the post is about, or take the picture of the author of the blog. It will prove you don't take credit for the info you share.
  • On your FaceBook page, when you see something you like coming from one of your friends, don't hesitate to click the "like" link. The person will receive an email indicating you did that, it will put a smile on his/her face
  • When you comment on a post, and someone comments on your comment, don't go too far in having a conversation with that person, cause it will be at the expense of the person who did the original post, he/she will keep receiving emails for every comment. Take the conversation to your own wall
Twitter tips :
  • don't just put links on your tweets, put some small talk now and then
  • Retweet : the people who see the retweet will appreciate it, they will say the original tweet was interesting enough that you chose to retweet it, it's a form of recommendation

This next tip comes from having seen Laura Newton do it. Promote a blog or RevPage done by someone who is in your downline. Laura is a Multi-Pure distributor, she takes good care of her team, I've seen her promote Katrina Oakley's blog "another work at home option". The links in that article will make you part of Katrina's downline, so it's a win/win situation for Laura and Katrina.

When you see a campaign from a friend, take a look at it, comment on it if it's a article or RevPage, but don't claim the credits. It will help your friend by making the campaign seen by more people.

Give credit where credit is due. Make sure you name the person from whom you've gotten an idea. A member was putting links to her articles and RevPages in her ABC. i thought it was a wonderful idea. When I mention that idea to other people, I say the idea comes from her.

When you read a article or RevPage with only a few lines of content and a banner, don't hesitate to write a comment where you say you want more info.  Maybe the person won't do so, but you'll see that other people will agree with you and say it too. Maybe some people would have hesitated to criticize the work directly on the article, but I believe it's a good business habit to do so, for you, the author, and the whole APSense community. I'm not saying to use name calling, or to simply write "bad article". Be specific, point out what bothers you. It's your opinion, some might not agree with you, and that's ok, too.

Hope these tips help !

Reminders

Please remember, if you like a article a RevPage :

1. Click the "thumb up" at top right
2. Retweet it, share it on FaceBook, StumbleUpon, it gets even more attention to you and ApSense
3. If you really love it, bookmark it as a reference for your own business building efforts

On your own blogs and RevPages :

1. Keep them clean, by first clicking the "report abuse" link when you see a comment that breaks a rule
2. Delete the abuse or spam comments, your articles and RevPages will shine

Most important, if you choose to add a reminder section like this one here, don't put truckloads of links. Give good information about yourself, or tips to help other people be more successful. The signature is there for links.
